Hey, everyone, it's Jen.

And this is Lindsay.

And this is finally Corpus DeLecti back on schedule.

Yeah, we bout weren't, though, just now because my microphone was not working.

We said we might not have an episode this week.

Then we announced in our group that we were because we made time for it.

Then my mic stopped working.

And I was like, oh, oh, but we're good.

We're here.

Yeah, you finally plugged it in.

It was plugged in.

All I did was unplug it and we plug it and it just fixed the problem.

But anyway, we are back. We're back on schedule.

Luckily, we didn't have to miss anything. And we are going to continue with our A-Women Scorn series.

Now, our story is going to take us all the way back to Hardscrabble, Ohio. We're going to visit the year

1884 where Sophia Hansel and her husband had given birth to a precious little girl named

Martha Weiss. Now most people say babies are beautiful no matter what they look like. Unfortunately,

they didn't say this about Martha.

When she was growing up, she was described as very homely sunken eyes. And a lot of people kind of debated how intelligent she was because she didn't do very well. She had very low intelligence to the fact that she was really bullied and teased most of her childhood.

And that's really tough because that's not something you can help, nor are your looks.

And she just doesn't have either of those things going for her.
