on a Monday afternoon. This is like waiting and waiting and waiting and now we're back

and we get to hang out with you. Thank you so much for being here with us. Maybe it's not

a Monday afternoon where you are. Maybe a Monday evening or early Tuesday morning, whatever it is.

As always, thank you for being here with us so that we can keep doing this. What a wonderful

first day of the week here, at least the first day of the work week here, that we have second hour.

Dr. Edward Sree will be with us and he's got a nice mini-series going on. EWTN just starts today

and we're going to talk about the stations of the cross with him and this first hour, Dr. Matthew

Rammage is our guest and we're going to talk about evolution and the Bible, which is actually a topic

we get a lot of questions about and some of the questions come with a note of anxiety with them

or a note of concern that the person will have to maybe give something up, either give up the

Bible or give up the science or something like that. So your questions very welcome here whether

As I said, Dr. Matthew Rammage is our guest. He's a professor of theology at Benedictine College.

Also serves as adjunct professor of sacred scripture for the graduate program at Holy Apostles

College in Seminary. It's got a bunch of books but those include dark passages of the Bible

engaging scripture with Benedict the 16th and Thomas Aquinas and from the dust of the earth

Benedict the 16th the Bible and the theory of evolution that's available from Catholic

University Press. Dr. Matthew Rammage, thank you for being with us. It is wonderful to be back.

It's always good to start off the week with something that gets the blood flowing and evolution

and the Bible does that. Is that your experience as well? Oh yeah very strong reactions and lots

of questions as you said that people have. That's what's a very important pastoral topic.
