Yeah once in a while we just got to surprise people. I know.

And this is a subject that I get questions about all the time and finally just stuck it in the outline and we figured it's about time that we did a show on it.

And that is the idea of sharing a MAC.

And it's not something that I personally do quite a bit. I know you do, but a lot of our

listeners share Macs, whether it's with their spouses, with their family, with their kids,

with their grandkids, or even with colleagues in the work environment.

Yeah, that's a new one. I haven't heard of many people doing that, but I know in the family

situation it's very common to share Mac. So if you've been a Mac.

So if you've been a Mac user for a long time, which I know you were and then switched away and

then came back, the idea of user accounts was kind of a foreign concept for a while because in the OS 6, 7, 8, 9 days,

there really, I guess there were some user accounts in one, maybe in OS9 for a little while but not in any sense like there

is in Mac OS 10 which is very user account based.

I mean obviously because it's got a Unix core which is very

user-based. Yeah you know I have to admit back in the day when I was on the original

Mac and the few after that before I had to go to Windows for a few years.

There was no such thing as users, which I mean,

there wasn't even really thing as application

multitasking at that time.

But the idea of having different user accounts was completely foreign to me.
