Hey David.

We're going to go to the Mac this time. We've been talking a lot about the iOS

devices lately. I wanted to take a show and just talk about ways to speed up your Mac.

Who does on like that? Yeah, exactly. You know, the Mac keep getting faster and the hard drives and all the technologies are increasing, but it still seems like they can slow down on you.

And there's several steps you can take to avoid that. So the idea of this show is once you get through it with us you're going to be able to get the

cruft out of your system and tighten up the spokes and get that thing rolling again.

Yeah and you know maybe if you're not quite ready for a brand new computer like those fancy

new IMAX or those fancy new Mac minis that Apple just released not all that long ago or coming

out in November and December, maybe we can talk about some Mcbrays that will tide you over for a while.

Is there a name for the phenomena where you get a new computer

and it seems like it's just wicked fast?

And like six months later you don't notice the speed increase anymore and then you know a year later it feels like it's slow.

I don't think it's six months later or a year later per se I think it's whenever the new models come out and there's definitely a name for that.

Well, no, it's like when I was on the PC and I really don't go on the show to Trash PCs

because I know that doesn't make people happy and I get it but I know that the computers would get actually slower and I haven't been on a PC for a long time so I'm sure they're better now

But you know you get all the problems

and the cruft and you'd have to just nuke and pave it like every six months to keep it

running but that's generally not the problem on the Mac but it does seem to me like they get slower or maybe you just don't notice the

speed as much you get used to it.

Well, no, the Mac certainly aren't as bad as the PCs were about that.
