I know that I was really curious about that

when I first started gardening, and I introduced my first flock of backyard chickens into my

garden about six years ago, and I've never looked back. I absolutely love having chickens

near my garden, around my garden, those of you guys who are members of the

Beginners Garden Shortcut Facebook group, or you see my Instagram stories, you've seen the chicken

tunnels that surround my garden, and you've probably heard my chickens quite a bit because they

can be quite noisy. But the truth is, I love my chickens for what they do for me in the garden, and the eggs are just a bonus.

And the thing is, you don't have to have a lot of space to introduce a couple of backyard chickens,

and you may just find that you love this addition to your garden.

Today's guest is Nicole Janetta from the Backyard Bounty podcast, and she also

I'm super excited to chat with Nicole. She has been raising chickens. She said almost her whole life,

so she has a lot of information that she can share with us. We're going to talk about how to get

started if you have never considered chickens why you might want to, what supplies you might need.

use your chickens and make them work for you in the garden.
