joining me today. In this episode, we're going to go on a very different kind of voyage with Dominic Dunn.

We've heard a lot about his Vanity Fair articles, and we'll hear more about them, as well as his novels in future episodes.

But there was a super fun little magical side project that you

may be familiar with called power, privilege, and justice. Our man Nick was the host for this

American television series, which for nine seasons from 2002 to Nick's death in 2009 examines

cases of crime, passion, and greed among the upper crust in a nifty

40- or so minute format. When Nick is approached for this project, the justice warrior himself

is thrilled to be finding a new audience through the medium of television where he originally

started as a production assistant all those years ago, he will call himself

privately Alistair Hitchcock, combining two classic storytellers, Alistair Cook, and Alfred Hitchcock

into Dominic's own blend of his narrator character. Covering privileged people in criminal

situations, this is his wheelhouse.

Some of the cases profiled within the power privilege and justice television series,

Nick will also write about for Vanity Fair.

Some he will write fictional accounts of within his novels and then some episodes.

Like the case we're covering today, stand alone. Dominic does not write about the case or the trial, which take place in the mid-1970s. Remember, Dominic right now is busy

bottoming himself out in Hollywood in his last days of drug and alcohol addiction. This case is

special to him, however, he knows the players

involved, which might prompt its coverage on power privilege and justice in its sixth season.

examines the criminal case that rocked the town of Aspen, Colorado, in the early 1970s, when the ex-wife of legendary crooner, Andy Williams, Claudine Lange, will stand trial for shooting her boyfriend, the Olympic skier, Spider-Savich. Let's investigate.
