The University of Austin has a strange history.

It's a well-regarded research institution, but has been home to a few tragedies. A gun-toting

ex-marine climbed the UT Clock Tower with his firearm in 1966. He killed 14 people and wounded 31.

There was a campus stabbing in 2017 that left three wounded and one dead.

In 2005, there was a grisly murder of a 21-year-old woman named Jennifer.

They considered this the most heinous crime in Austin, Texas history.
