Welcome, my friends, to Grumpy Old Geeks, a weekly conversation where two internet

decks talk about technology, the internet, where it's headed, where we wish it was headed.

I'm Jason. And I'm Brian. You can find us on the web at GrumpyOldGeeks.com.

Hey Jason. Hey Brian. Welcome back. Thank you. How was the trip?

0:25.0

Amazing. Excellent. I'm feeling quite refreshed even though the beginning of the trip was

0:29.6

insanely hectic. I flew in at the ass crack of dawn, had to go downtown Chicago,

0:36.5

then back to the suburbs, then to sleep for like four hours, get in the car, drive to Madison,

0:42.5

go see my pack up my brother's dorm, then watch 3,300 kids graduate, then drive all the way back,

1:13.2

marries before getting on the plane, then two double bloody marries on the plane, then pass out

1:20.0

and hopefully sober up by the time you land. That sounds very reasonable to me.

1:25.4

I used to have it time to a tee, but this was only a four hour flight, so I had to kind of

1:30.7

dial it back a bit. Right. Did you find yourself having to work at all or did you have a real

1:34.8

vacation? I had to work almost the entire time. And what was your traveling gear of choice?

1:40.7

Company laptop. Oh, there you go. Yeah. I don't own a laptop anymore. I actually sold

1:46.0

all of my mobile gear. The company I worked at before gave me an air and I had an air, so I traded

1:51.6

it for rent and utilities for a month because I didn't really need it. It was depreciating. Right.

1:56.4

And I found like I can do almost everything on my iMac with my iPad for general stuff, but yeah,

2:02.6

when I travel, I have to have them give me a laptop to take. And since it's a company laptop,
