11, but I have a show that goes to 11. For you today, we have episode 11 of No Guitar

and totally inspiring guitarist, Nita Strauss. She's perfect for this episode because she lives her whole life on 11.

She just takes it to the top whatever she does. Like for example, maybe you might have seen her with Alice Cooper.

She's blown up in this band. Of course there are two other great guitar players in the band, Ryan Roxy and Tommy Henriksen.

However, she gets tons of spotlight, including a big cadenza,

as you'll find out. What you're hearing right now is from a video game soundtrack. She's playing

on the song, Stains of Time. That's from the video game Metal Gear Rising Revengeance.

I say that like I know what that is, but I was always afraid of video games because I was

afraid I would

really fall in love with one. And then I'd come home and instead of turning on my amplifier

and playing guitar, I'd be turning on an Xbox or something. That just sounds horrifying, even though

I do want to get the new Madden. That's another story. Nita, of course, has done a bunch of other killer things, such as playing in the Iron

Maiden's for a few years, the Iron Maiden tribute band.

That was funny for me because that meant I was up at 8 a.m. before our 11 a.m.

interview learning some Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper tunes, because of course I wanted to run

some of that with Nita when we're both plugged in. And the way you might hear me refer to Iron Maiden's great documentary as Flight 666. I know it's Flight 666. I got the number of the beast on vinyl when I was 13. In fact when I was in in London most recently, I stayed right across the hall

from Room 666, the hotel room of the Beast. In some hotel? I thought that was funny.
