Anywho, after Omnacore dropped the bomb on Elysium on January the 16th, 2252,

the Elysians were buried under a smoking and radioactive crater.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, someone or something had detonated the last Martian bomb in that orbital platform above Olympus.

That blast wiped out satellite arrays and orbital installations and took out half the

Omnacore ships in the vicinity.

On top of that, the EMP triggered by the explosion

was so intense it blew out Olympus's surface power grid. So even though the physical infrastructure

of the colony was intact, the mass power outage and the domes and upper levels crashed all communication
