I know Todd's always worried about his fellow skiers,

but apparently falling out of chairlists. Yeah, falling out of the chairlifts more and more. Families want to know why, and they're not telling them. It seemed like there were more stories about that this winter. Apparently, we weren't wrong. We kept on top of that. And there was a lot of that going on. And a lot of it's because, you know, a lot of chairlifts are old.

And they don't have the safety bar on them.

Yeah.

The no safety bar is just crazy to me. And then the ones that do, there's idiots that don't put it down. It's easy to get on and off. It's easier to get on and off without the safety bar. I get that, Todd. but yeah I don't know, I don't go to these resorts. I go to

your hometown hills and some of those chairlifts. In fact, I read one, the one I go to

outside of Glenwood Springs is finally replacing a chairlift. I almost fell off of several times.

Because it's so damn old. How do you, how do you, what happens when you almost fall off?

You just, you slip out of the seat or what the way you, wait. You quiff a little, I'm sure. I'm sorry. Well, this was at the deal when you're loading up. Okay. And it was one of those where it was a two-seater and a huge bar in the middle. And the lifty at the back should have steadied it for me, but did not. So it's swaying back and forth, and I've got to guess which side I'm going to sit on. Like a too much jump to get on those things? They just slide around underneath your ass. You sit down. Okay, cool. Sit down. And, you know, the good ones, the resorts will have, you know, the chairs will slow up once they get to the bottom. Got it just creep up on you.

So nobody's, in fact, I think that's the hardest part of learning out of ski. That famous video of the ones that's going real fast. Oh, yeah. Swinging around and flying off. That is great. Nobody got killed in that event. I don't think so. Yeah, but that was crazy. One guy got caught. Flying, man. How is that not a ride at like traveling carnivals now?

Exactly.

If you're just learning how to ski, that's the toughest part, I think. Getting on the chair? On and off the chairlift. You know, I see, you know, they'll slow it down when there's kids. And it's obviously the first or second time they've hit a chair lift. I would think getting off would be getting harder than getting on the chair. Like just making that exit onto the skis and then, okay, you just go, right? Because it varies. You know, the slope varies when you're getting off a chairlift from chair to chair. Sometimes it's an easy slide. Sometimes you're going down at a pretty good angle. Yeah, well, apparently people are falling off more and more now. Who's reporting that? I don't know. That was somebody sent you. Who sent that? Nick, I think they said it's a lot of European travelers that don't just put the safety bar down. Yeah, and then because they're used to not putting a safety bar down.

They're used to chairlifts that don't have that safety bar.

I'm guilty of the same thing.

The only time it goes down is if somebody else suggests it goes down,

because I've never really felt uncomfortable.

I can't.

That's nuts to me.

I could not do it without the bar.

I know because I'd be paranoid to sell, but you're afraid of you, the bar's going to be downed, and you're going to try jump off, and it's going to bend you at the waist. I can see that. Yeah. I'm surprised that hasn't happened, you know. I don't even like the ski lift at the zoo. I'm afraid I'm going to slip underneath the bar and fall into the rhino pit. I always hated those. I hated those at the amusement parks, you know.
