And we begin with the light at the end of the tunnel burning quite a bit brighter this morning.

Moderna now says its experimental COVID vaccine is 94.5% effective.

A result that is wowing scientists, including Dr. Anthony Fauchy, who call the results as good as it gets.

An added bonus, the Moderna drug doesn't need to be transported and stored in ultra-cold temperatures like Pfizer's.

Together, the two drugs present the best hope yet of fighting back against the pandemic.

Both are expected to be available by the end of the year for high-risk patients and by

springtime for widespread distribution. In the meantime, schools from coast to coast

are trying to figure out the days and weeks before the vaccine comes out.

Some are moving ahead with plans for in-person learning while others are pulling back to

remote. The best approach? No one really knows and even inside families

There's not a lot of traveling going on right now due to the pandemic, but there is one spot that might be the only place in the world where there are too many tourists.

It's the Chatham Islands which are part of New Zealand.

That country's borders remain mostly closed and locals are advised not to travel overseas at this time.

So residents who are desperate for a change of scenery without having a quarantine

are flocking to this remote Pacific Ocean archipelago, which means a group of islands.

With only 150 hotel beds and limited flights, all accommodations there are book solid through June

2021. One of the islands does have a big claim to fame.
