other than kind of the model 3 production video that we had talked about on yesterday's episode,

On today's show, I just wanted to spend a little bit more time

talking about model three VINs. As we've started to see some reporting of higher VINs out in the

wild over the last few days I've started to see a little bit of misinformation and

a few questions out there on really what that means and how that relates to the model 3 production ramp.

So I wanted to spend some time today just kind of digging into that and further understanding it.

The first point to understand is that though the Vins are somewhat sequential, they are created in different batches and nobody really knows the process for how those batches are determined.

This is the case for Model S, Model X, and Model 3.

A few weeks ago on the Tesla Motors Club forum a user had actually

posted a graph of the Model S Vins and the date that they were assigned and eventually delivered.

And basically what ends up happening is the graph looks like a linear
