we begin with a king cobra that disappeared from a Swedish zoo has returned. The seven-foot

long poisonous snake, now known as Houdini, escaped 10 days ago through a light fixture in

the ceiling of its glass enclosure. After an intense search which involved X-ray machines,

the cobra was located not far away in a confined space between two walls, but when holes were

drilled to bring Houdini out, he vanished again. But not for long, he soon slithered back

into his space and is now safe and secure. Zoo officials are relieved the cobra was found

not only to keep the public safe, but also because the snake wouldn't have survived that

cold climate if it had gotten out of the building.

Singer Adele is planning to swap the stage for studies. At least that's what she told

fans in Los Angeles last week. The hello singer and songwriter confessed she really wants

to get a degree in English literature, adding she feels she missed out because she never

went to college. She credits an early teacher for helping her to fall in love with books

and added, if I hadn't made it in my singing, I think I would definitely be a teacher.

According to the Washington Post, Adele plans to begin taking online courses in 2025,

after she finishes a commitment to perform a number of concerts in Las Vegas, starting

in a few weeks.

50 years is a long time to be at the same job, and that's why a groundskeeper at the White

House was recently given a special honor to mark this milestone. An American Elm was

planted last week as part of a ceremony to thank Dale Haney for his decades of hard work.

Mr. Haney has served 10 presidents starting with Richard Nixon, and he helps take care

of the famous Rose Garden, supervises the Easter Egg role, and chooses an evergreen
