What is up, everybody? Mark on the mic here. And I tell you what, you know, hunting is an inherently, or can be, a dangerous activity. You might be in the middle of nowhere. You might be by yourself. You're dealing with firearms. You're dealing with knives, arrows, broadheads, things of that nature, potential predator risks like grizzly bears, things

like that. And it's really good to have a comms program in place in case you need a little bit of

help. And to help us talk about this topic specifically, we have Mr. Jared Lightsinger, pretty local to us here at Vortex. And Jared,

Jared, you're a big hunter. You do a variety of hunting, pretty hardcore hunter. We've been chatting

pre-podcast about some hunts that we've done that we have in common and also chatting about

some stuff that I think we both want to do in the future.

You spend a lot of time outdoors. You're not new to it, very experienced, and yet you had a pretty

wild incident this year that, number one, we're going to talk about that, how you got through it,

and then maybe a tool that some folks may want to keep in their bag of tricks, so they can be safer outdoors. So, yeah, man, welcome. No, it's been great having you here at vortex and looking forward to having this discussion. Yeah, I'm super excited. Yeah. So, I mean, let's just, you know, jump right in. Like I said, maybe give us a little bit

of background, who you are, what you're up to, maybe some of the hunting that you like to do,

and then I want to dive into that day. Okay. Yeah. I'm Jared. I'm from Mount Horrible, Wisconsin,

and the types of hunting I like to do, I love white tail hunting, bow and rifle.

I do bear hunting too

up in northern Wisconsin.

I got some buddies that have some dogs,

and I go up there and help them handle their dogs

and dabble with that.

Go up to Canada every year,

do some moose hunting, fishing up there.

Love turkey hunting in the spring.

It's tons of fun.

But, yeah, that that day it was october 15th and i'm it was just a normal day after work i'm like ah i want to go somewhere close
