Okay, so today's topic is manacost.

I'm going to talk about the origin of manacost, how we use manacost, how we design with

manacost in mind, everything you ever wanted to know about manacost.

And the challenge of today is, can I talk for 30 minutes about Mannacost?

I think I can.

At least I plan to.

Okay, so let's go back.

Let's start from the very beginning.

Where did Mannacost come from?

Why do we have Mannacost?

Oh, I guess let me start with this.

What is Mna cost? Somehow, if you're listening to this podcast, and you don't know, I will tell you.

So, man of cost is the cost in the upper right-hand corner of a card on most cards.

I guess future site cards did weird things on the left.

But the idea was there are mana symbols,

and the mana symbols represent the cost you have to pay in order to cast the card.

When Richard first made a mana cost, he actually did them a little bit differently.
