On November 2, 1987 at 1.15 a.m. in Ada, Oklahoma, the victim felt a gun at the back of her

head as she unlocked the door to her home.

She was pushed inside, robbed and raped by a black man who was described as between 5.7

and 6.2 wearing a hat, a jacket, and perhaps a gold tooth.

Detectives filmed at crime stoppers' reenactment video about the robbery and rape, and they

approached Perry Lot, who was parked nearby.

While they asked him a few questions about his whereabouts during the incident, they noticed

that he had a gold tooth.

And Perry, a bit of a lady's man, explained that he was in the area to see his girlfriend

but had been with his fiance from 3.30 p.m. on November 1 through 6.30 a.m. the following

morning.

Despite his alibi, police brought him in for further questioning.

There, they put him into a lineup, and the rest of the men were given get this gold foil

from a nearby florist to simulate having a gold tooth.
