So Jeremy, I was reading your book, which you can find at any great local bookseller. And it was a

somewhat painful recitation of the last, I'd say, 15 years of my political life. Maybe even more so.

I was raised in Washington, DC. My dad worked on Capitol Hill when Republicans were in the minority.

years, if not to the day, very close, you and I were sitting in New York City having a cup of coffee.
