That was kind of a bit of a lengthy dive into what informs the View of the Hebrews.

Why did you, when I asked you, what gave Joseph Smith the idea to create the Book of Mormon,

you went straight to 1823 in the Book of View of the Hebrews.

I know now that you're not claiming that the Book of Mormon is a plagiarism of the

View of the Hebrews, but what is it about the view of the Hebrews coming out in 1823

that you think gives Joseph the idea to create the Book of Mormon?

In 1823, we don't know what he was saying about the origin of the Indians yet either.

Meaning Joseph?

Yeah, in 1823, we know he's telling stories about the ancient inhabitants as if he lived

among them all his life.

We don't know if he was connecting it to saying the Indians were Hebrew.
