Summary
In this first collaboration with Patrick Young of the Forgotten Christianity Substack, we looked at the Norman invasion of Anglo-Saxon England through a religious lens, asking how 1066 transformed not just a kingdom, but the English Church itself. Steve Guerra and Patrick Young explored papal power, the growing divide between East and West, and the older Christian world the Normans helped uproot. #HistoryOfThePapacy #ForgottenChristianity #ChurchHistory #NormanConquest #1066 #AngloSaxonEngland #MedievalHistory #ChristianHistory Subscribe to Forgotten Christianity on Substack: https://forgottenchristianity.substack.com/
