Welcome to this morning's presentation on trauma, attachment, codependency, and abandonment

In today's presentation, we're actually going to be talking about trauma and how that can potentially impact or the connection between trauma and personality

disorders or personality disorder behavior or said another way symptoms of personality

disorders.

So let's just kind of get into this and you'll see what I'm talking about.

So in this presentation, we'll explore the connection between disrupted attachment and

adverse childhood experiences. And we will talk about how adverse childhood experiences

constitute for many people trauma and ongoing trauma, which can therefore result in what the

ICD-11 calls C-PTSD.

We'll discuss how the symptoms of codependency makes sense from a trauma-informed perspective,

and we'll talk about the connection between attachment disruption

in relationships, especially primary attachment disruption, and development of

codependency symptoms.

And then we'll discuss trauma-informed strategies for addressing codependency and abandonment issues or

symptoms that generally arise from the attachment trauma and the ACEs.
