Well, do you remember us at all? It's been two years.

See? We didn't make any impression at at all late well that's okay I don't

remember him much either I blame that on you yeah I think I do remember I've been

interviewed by a couple of different teams of folks and I'm not quite sure I've had.

We interviewed you about just a bunch of different stuff, kind of random old and new testament stuff a couple years ago

very entertaining and our listeners have wanted you back and one of us one of them

emailed us about uh... your new book on the book of Mormon. So here we are. Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, right. Yeah, the latter day scripture. Yes.

Yes. So why would you want to beat your head against the wall is what we all wanted to know?

Actually this came out of a thing called the Book of Mormon Roundtable at Brigham Young University, though the Conservatives didn't like it much, and

we only met about three times, three different years, but we had people that were open-minded intellectual Mormons and sympathetic ex- Mormons,

liberal Mormons, and interested non- Mormons.

So we had really good papers and discussions from all different

standpoints and this was most of these were my contributions to that and I

found it very interesting to say, okay, the thing is not an ancient document,

given what it is, what can we learn about it using biblical criticism techniques. I found it pretty fascinating.

So wait, you don't think that Joseph Smith used the Yerm and Thumham to translate a set of

golden plates that he unearthed underneath a rock that have been sitting there for

fifteen hundred years?

Now I do think he used what he thought was the oremen-Fumem, some sort of seerstone,
