Hi, Audrey. It's Alex Andrea Delgado in Los Angeles. I just wanted you to know I was just a ticket line

0:06.5

this morning at Paramount. This has been my like 12 ticket and the strike started. I went by myself

0:14.0

to Sony on like the first day of the Ryder Strike and was so nervous as an actor and everybody was so

0:22.0

lovely and it was so easy and they provided time and shirt and you get to talk to such incredible

0:29.2

people who have had such incredible careers. It's such an amazing community. I just can't say how

0:36.0

much I've loved the experience of picking in and supporting each other in this union and even the

0:42.4

non-union people that come. I feel like if there's shaving balls when they're like, oh I'm non-union.

0:47.1

I'm like, oh my god, you're amazing and everybody's so welcoming and I just can't encourage people

0:52.1

enough to just like go pick it. It's great for community. It's great for getting to know people.

0:58.4

It's great to just support something that's important and if that goes on strike, we should be out

1:04.8

there more often than we currently are. Can't wait to see you guys on the ticket line. Bye.

Hi, everybody. This is Audrey Moore with the Audrey Helps Actors podcast. This is episode 105

1:15.1

strike chatter with SAG after negotiators. This is a really important episode. I wanted to make

1:21.5

sure that everyone had a close understanding of what is currently happening right now as our

1:27.1

negotiating team is in their negotiating on our behalf. We have today Duncan Crap Tree Ireland

1:32.6

and Ray Rodriguez. These two fine gentlemen. I'm very passionate about getting everyone to understand

1:39.5

that first of all, you are the union and the union is you. People often talk about the union as

1:44.5

this thing that is sort of other. Like there's this group of magical people somewhere making decisions

1:50.9

on our behalf and I want to be very clear that that's not what is occurring. The union is made up

1:56.3

of two factions, the membership. So that's all of us working all of the contracts that SAG after

2:02.5

includes. Then there's the staff. This is staff that SAG after his membership hires through our

2:09.6

dues, through all of that, to be on staff. So when we're talking about who's going into negotiations,
