Summary

If you've been listening to my podcast for a while now, you know that I try to be as transparent as humanly possible. While most only teach the rosy stuff, I feel it's imperative to see what's normal so you know if you're on the right track. No one is perfect.

Case in point, earlier this week I had a breakdown. Yep, an all-out toddler breakdown, which included throwing my phone on the floor and blurting out whatever came to mind. Lori and I have both had a lot going on the past few months – Lori's Bliss Project event, my Mastermind, other speaking events for Lori (where I helped her prepare), Lori's book launch and our new Aligned course. And this doesn't even include our normal everyday tasks.

So, we were wrapping up our two-day recharge at the Ritz in Laguna and about to head back into reality when I checked my email and received a message that just set me off. It instantly made me feel like I wasn't living life on my terms. Enter tantrum mode. I can totally laugh at it now, but all the stress had built up and I had to release some of it.

And this is where tribe saved me… Lori was there to let me vent and talk it through. Then I also texted a couple of my super successful entrepreneur friends and they also reassured me that this was normal and gave me a couple stories of their own as well as some tips to get through it. We NEED people like this in our lives. Without them, you'll bottle up all the motions and eventually explode (have a tantrum like I did).

"The pace doesn't need to slow, but the releasing of the pressure does need to be more often."

We need to put a focus on self-care and give ourselves a break now and then. It is perfectly normal to have breakdowns and feel tired.

"You're always going to be tired from struggle or tired from making it happen – I choose the latter."

Stay the course. Talk it out. Let off some steam with your go-to person. And take as good of care as possible of yourself. But keep up the pace so your dreams come true. You've got this and we're all here to support you!

In This Episode We Talk about:

  • Why it's important to be transparent and share your struggles
  • How tribe saved Chris during his breakdown
  • The importance of self-care
