Summary

It’s historical true crime time! The world’s obsession with true crime is nothing new, and this one really was the talk of the Stuart court. This 17th Century crime has everything, political scheming, a royal connection, a marriage scandal, jilted lovers and a poisoned tart. With a cast of characters including the King’s favourite, Robert Dudley’s stepson and the granddaughter of the last man to be executed by King Henry VIII.

0:53.8

put together an episode last week, but I was so run down and so exhausted and just not great.

1:02.1

Like I had this weird dizzy, like as if my brain was sloshing about my head situation going on.

And no matter what I did when I was trying to put the episode together,

1:11.9

every time I tried to record, everything sounded wrong. Like, I don't know how else to put it.

1:18.4

It sounded wrong. And so I scrapped that episode completely. It just decided to write a new one

1:24.8

for this week. Because apparently, I can't do anything

1:30.0

typically at all. So I decided to do this. Murder, of course. Why not? But it's been a bit

1:39.6

hectic because I've had to try and prepare a few episodes specifically to be released as I'm touring

1:47.3

because I don't want to like let people down and I've got stuff that needs to go up on the Patreon as well

1:51.7

like I've got things scheduled but there's a few like tweaks I need to do here and there and it's just to make sure that content is consistent

1:58.8

I don't know if anyone's noticed,

2:01.0

if you've been followed me on the socials,

2:02.5

like I haven't been as historically heavy there.

2:06.5

And I've been doing my wee historical assistant.

2:08.9

Currently, it's the assistant to Henry VIII,

2:11.6

which I make just for my own pure enjoyment.
