Thanks so much for joining me today. Last week, I talked a little about the goodness of the Lord,

0:21.7

and quoted some 27-13. I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness

0:29.0

of the Lord in the land of the living. So I thought this week, I would take up the subject of what

0:35.1

it means to lose heart. Just talk a little more about how to resist that temptation to lose heart.

0:42.9

What is losing heart really mean? Well, it means getting discouraged or giving up,

0:48.8

losing hope, and there are so many things in this life that could tempt us to lose heart and do

0:54.4

tempt us to lose heart. Maybe you are childless or unmarried and you've prayed for years and years

1:44.6

that is to us. So first reference is in Luke 18. This is the parable of the unjust judge and the

1:52.6

widow who kept coming. Luke 18. One, then he spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray

2:00.9

and not lose heart. And this is the parable of the unjust judge and the widow who kept coming.

2:07.3

And how much more will God hear us when we keep praying and we don't give up? Jesus said it,

2:13.7

men always ought to pray and not lose heart. So don't give up asking God, keep praying. He wants

2:21.6

you to continue to pray always. So don't lose heart. Second Corinthians 4.1, another aspect of

2:28.7

not losing heart. The last verse in chapter 3 followed by the first verse in chapter 4. But we
