Strike authorization time that is.

All right, everyone. Are you union?

If you are a member of SAG Aftra,

SAG Aftra has officially sent out a strike authorization,

which means it's voting time.

So let's talk about what a strike authorization is.

A successful strike authorization vote doesn't initiate a strike.

It doesn't mean we are immediately striking, or we'll ever strike.

Instead, the strike authorization permits the national board to declare a strike.

If the studios and streaming companies fail to negotiate fairly with SAG Aftra

for the benefit of its members.

So that means the committee is going to go.

They're going to show up, start negotiations.

And if the AMPTP, which is the studios and streaming companies,

if they're like, we don't even want to discuss with you,

because we hit your super face, then SAG Aftra can go,

all right, well, fuck this shit at clock. It's striking time.

And then they will call a strike.

So postcards are sent in the mail to eligible members Thursday.

However, you can do it whenever.
