It's good to be with you again after an extended break.

In this episode, I want to talk to you about helpful hints for preaching online.

Of course, this is being recorded as we are in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis really a

crisis like nothing we've seen in our lifetime for many of us and may never see again on the

other side of this it will change reality for the society and culture

we live in in ways that we don't really know yet. The general consensus, however, with all

that authorities do not know, the general consensus is that social distancing is essential to

slowing down the spread of the coronavirus. Most of us are in places where we are ordered to do so.

So my churches are not meeting during this period. Some have shut down everything for the time being, which is understandable

as some churches deem this the faithful way to flesh out their convictions. Other churches have

chosen to stream messages online or to record them to be played online, and this is what our congregation has done.

We are not trying to replace the dynamics of our body life together, but we are doing what

we understand the church has always done historically, and that is take advantage of whatever

technology is available for the purpose

of spreading the gospel. For many people who are trying this out, this online preaching

business is a brand new practice. And as much as it seems like this will be the way things are for some weeks,

I want to talk to you today about how to preach effectively online.

I'm going to offer you some helpful hints for preaching online.
