What was the aim for total when you guys sat around the table and planned it?

Probably needs a bit more of a background to explain the answer to that question. Um, but I joined D. HP in January, 1996, uh, on 23rd of January. I always remember it was a 23rd of January because it was David Hall's 53rd birthday. Um, and, um, we can go into the story of how I got the job.

But Catchmore Carp had been purchased by the company Chris Reel, which was the name of the company before it became David Hall publishing.

And it was formerly known as carp news and angling techniques.

And it had been launched by Tim Hodges,

who David had recruited as part of the purchase, the acquisition to edit Catch More Carp.

And over the following three years or so, it couldn't make it work.
