Welcome back to an all new episode of Surf Splendor. I'm your host, David Scales. And today I'm bringing you an episode and an interview with Dave Parmenter. Dave is a guy who a lot of people have actually requested that I

interview him. His names come up a couple of different times on the show and

different interviews with other people and I'll always end up getting a follow-up

email or a tweet you know suggesting like hey you got to get a hold of Dave just

because he's such an interesting dude.

He was a professional surfer in the 80s, maybe even through the early 90s.

And he's a surf writer as well for probably a 20-year span.

Most notably, probably, is that he's a surfboard shaper and really well-respected surfboard shaper.

And Surfing Magazine at some point was quoted as calling him the most interesting surfer in the world.

He's really well-read, very articulate, opinionated, somewhat provocative, I think you could say.

And so just an interesting all-round dude and a great guest to have on the show.
