that everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I'm your host,

John Delin. It's November 9th, 2018 and I could not be more excited to have today's guest.

I say that a lot and I absolutely mean it today. Today we have John Hamer in the house.

John Hamer will have him introduce himself in a second, but basically many of you will remember

that recently we had Kathleen Melanakis on to talk about Joseph Smith, the Joseph Smith family,

to talk about Mormon origins. She was really interested in forgery and counterfeiting.

And so we talked a lot about that, but we realized during that episode that we really need

in Mormon Stories to dig back into Mormon history. Those are some of our most beloved episodes.

Those are most popular. Those are the most needed. And so we're going to do that.

I'm working with Dan Vogel now to bring him out of Mormon Stories. And I reached out to John Hamer recently

because one of the things that Mormonism needs really badly are plausible explanations for,

you know, I'm just going to say I'll start by saying the Book of Mormon.
