Summary

On this episode, Founders Rick, Jake and Gino discuss long term mindset and the importance of 100 Year Thinking for real estate investors. We want to show people the best way to create long-term generational wealth with minimum risk, maximum return and simplicity, probability, and leverage. When you think about the big picture with a long-term mindset, you are more easily able to identify the things in front of you right now that are definitely not going to help you get there. None of us want to look back and wish we would have made better choices. They say hindsight is 20/20. Making a commitment now to put the principle of long-termism into operation in your life will instantly increase the odds you end up where you want to be If you want to be a long-term thinker, you have to get crystal clear on your priorities, purpose and values. When you are clear about your purpose and your values, it elevates your life fulfillment, your accomplishments, and your energy.. Take your purpose and values and align all areas of your life around these important things. Hello, everybody and welcome to the 100-year real estate investor. We're your host,

0:10.2

Jake and Gino, and this is the show dedicated to long-term personal financial engineering.

0:15.5

Gino, how's it going? I'm doing great, Jake. How you doing? Always making it happen, big man.

0:19.1

Today, we are sitting back down with one of the

0:20.8

co-founders of the 100-year real estate investor, Rick Sapio. Rick learned early on that business

0:26.3

growth and success are accelerated when a few key principles are applied. One of these principles

0:31.9

is the long-term mindset. And today, we're going to dive into what we like to call long-term ism and what that means to

0:39.1

Rick. So further ado, Mr. Sapio, welcome back. Hey, thank you. And when you say co-founder,

0:44.6

we're all co-founders because we all founded the company together along with our fourth

0:49.2

partner. So it's been a great ride the last year, you know, bringing long-termism into the Jake and

0:54.7

Gino family. Hey, Rick, it's kind of like Ron Burgundy. I just, I just read what they put on

0:58.6

the teleprompter sometimes. You know how it goes, man. So Rick, long-term thinking, how has this

1:06.4

impacted your business? Because many, you know, many companies you found and have great success in your

1:11.6

career. So how has that impacted your business success and growth? Here's the thing. I'm going to use

1:15.7

an example of marriage. When I married my wife, a friend of mine gave me good advice and he said,

1:21.1

write a script that describes your marriage 50 years from now. And so my wife and I wrote this

1:27.3

paragraph and it said

1:28.7

when we're, you know, 90 years old, I'm envisioning us with our great grandchildren running around

1:35.7

us, snowing outside. We're in a ski chalet in the mountains in Colorado. And that's just one

1:42.1

example of the vision that we painted. And what happens when you

1:46.2

have a long-term vision, when something happens in the short term, like you have a fight, you're not

1:52.3

running for the exits. And a lot of times without that long-term vision in business or in your
