Welcome to another edition of Who's Paying Attention, my podcast.

Sorry, that started kind of weird.

I'll tell you why, because it's midnight.

I'm at my house recording this,

and I feel like one of those late night DJs,

all alone talking to people on the road.

Well, no, I don't see any aliens coming in from outer space,

but it's got that late night vibe, and I kind of like it.

So this week's might be kind of short.

Not a lot of topics.

I'm actually going to try to keep it a little lighter.

I've been getting a few complaints, but I don't know.

I just want it to be what it is.

I was just going to say I want it to be funny, but life ain't always funny.

So it is what it is.

So I'm going to start with Happy Mother's Day. I know you'll be listening to this after Mother's Day, but I'm recording it on Mother's Day.

And I get my sense of humor from my mom.

So thanks, Mom, for making me funny, keeping me from having to work a day job or do honest work or anything like that.

You never thought I would cash in on telling jokes.
