Hi, this is Sarah from Amazing If, and I'm here with this week's bonus episode to share some

0:06.6

ideas on three techniques to build your confidence. So technique number one, asking why.

0:13.2

This might sound quite simple, but actually if you're experiencing a situation where you're not

0:18.3

feeling particularly confident, keep asking yourself why. Sometimes

0:22.2

the first reason that we think we're not feeling particularly confident or that we're worried about

0:27.1

something isn't really the root course of an issue. And so continuing to ask yourself why

0:32.7

really helps you to get to grips with what is it that's really causing you the problem and actually

you realize you've maybe got an

1:11.0

unrealistic expectation of yourself you're maybe expecting yourself to know all of the answers

1:15.1

to everything and that actually is unrealistic so actually you don't need to worry about it or it might

1:20.6

help you to identify a specific knowledge gap that you want to go away and work on and learn a

1:25.8

bit more about so that you do feel a bit more

1:27.6

prepared for the next meeting. But do remember on being prepared that just preparing more

1:31.9

or more is not the answer to being more confident. But keep asking yourself why as you're

1:36.2

working on your confidence gremlin as you'll find it's really helpful to be more specific
