Hi, my name is Pete Scazzaro. I want to welcome you today to the Emotionally Healthy Leader

podcast. Great to be with you. And I'm excited for our title today and our theme, which is a part

two of ten timeless axioms of emotionally healthy leadership.

Now, these 10 have stood the test of time over the last almost three decades.

They've become anchors for people to keep us rooted in a deep biblical theology as we live and lead for Jesus.

And again, for some of you, it's going to be a great introduction into our whole ecosystem and this wide theology of emotionally healthy leadership and

discipleship. But for others of you, been around a while, it's going to give you a nice, broad

lens and hopefully some hooks so you can have that theology at your fingertips as you hit stressful, difficult situation.

So again, I pray is that these truths will deeply penetrate your soul and spirit,

and you'll dig into them more deeply on your own.

Now, our vision or our calling at Emotionally the discipleship is to radically renew the church.

And we do that by addressing the crisis of shallow discipleship through training a new generation of pastors and leaders.

And so we're mentoring pastors and leaders by combining two things. A monastic slow-down

spirituality on the one hand and emotional health on the other. Why for deep transformation

in your personal lives, in your marriage or singleness, in your teams, and in your entire ministry for the sake of Jesus and in your marriage or singleness, in your teams, and in your entire ministry for the sake of Jesus'

mission in the world.

So towards that, we do a variety of things as a ministry to help make that happen, one of which

we call the school of emotionally healthy leadership.

We've been doing this school

for the last three years, but this is the first year we're actually opening it up to the wider
