Summary

Scott Goldie (trail name Pacman) recently completed an Appalachian Trail thru-hike, and gives an overview of his experience on the ENTIRE trail in episode number 10 of Trail Tales. We also dive into the topics of social media use on a thru-hike, and whether or not the Appalachian Trail is becoming too crowded.  Like what you hear? Want to talk some smack? Appalachian Trail through hike. Now this was a bit of a different episode. I usually prepare

0:50.4

a number of questions for my guests but for some reason might have been

0:55.1

because I was lazy and it might have been because I wanted to go for a more

0:59.1

organic feel it was actually because I was too lazy but for whatever reason I

1:03.5

didn't prepare any questions for this chat I was a little bit nervous going into

1:07.3

it that we wouldn't have enough to talk about but it actually ended up being my longest episode yet maybe I should just wing it more often in the future I don't know anyways

Pac-Man and I chat about a lot of cool stuff we pretty much just go through his entire 2000 mile journey you know state by state and just kind of talk about how he was feeling

1:28.5

mentally, physically as he went up the trail.

1:32.1

We also talked about some other just kind of random topics like social media use on

1:37.4

through hikes and whether or not the Appalachian Trail is becoming too crowded.

1:42.2

Like I said, we pretty much just won it.

1:44.5

And I think it was a really good conversation.
