In this video, we're breaking down the 10 players that you need to add in your fantasy league before week 14 begins.

0:05.0

And this week is very important because it is the final week for most leagues before the fantasy playoffs. So this is one of your last chances to improve your roster. And there's some pretty good names available right now. And let's start with Adonai Mitchell, the Jets wide receiver, who really over the past couple of weeks, since he was traded to this team. he had that first game on Thursday night football

0:21.8

traded from the Colts to the Jets.

0:22.9

It wasn't great.

0:23.4

But these last couple of weeks since he was traded to this team he had that first game on Thursday night football traded from the Colts to the Jets it wasn't great but these last couple of weeks he's quietly been earning a ton of volume and that volume actually paid off this past week where he had eight catches he had 102 receiving yards heading into the Sunday night game I believe it was the only wide receiver on the entire week to have a hundred yard game on the Sunday games right not counting Thursday counting Thursday and Friday where Jamar Chase is going off and AJ Brown. But it was pretty interesting to see. He also had a touchdown in this game. The targets were up as well. You're seeing 12 targets over also over 20 fantasy points. And the big headline, at least for me, was the actual usage that we got here. If you look at the week 13 sleep in terms of target share leaders, percentage of targets they saw that week, you see AJ Brown at the top in Jamison Williams at a 40% target share. Rashi Rice, 38%. Okay, these things make sense. Jameson, when you add in the context, that Amun Ross St. Brown was injured. But then number four, right next to guys like Pooka Nakua and Rashi Rice,

1:11.4

is Adonai Mitchell with a 37% target share. Even more interesting, he ran 98% of the routes out

1:17.7

there. We saw John Metchy have a couple of nice games on touchdowns in the previous games for

1:22.0

the Jets, but somewhat limited volume, not a lot of explosive plays downfield. Adonai Mitchell

1:26.8

in week 13 looked like a legitimate X wide receiver in the NFL. Now, who knows if that continues? This is a disgusting Jets offense. He had a lot of talent coming out of college Adonai Mitchell, but he hasn't really panned out as a second round pick out of Texas. So we'll see if this could continue, but this is encouraging signs. We've seen it for a couple of weeks, now him earning volume. As you can see right here, according to Ryan Heath over on Twitter, Adonai Mitchell now averages a 28% target share in 51 receiving yards per game in three games with the Jets. For comparison, Garrett Wilson averaged a 30% target share in 56 receiving yards per game. So he's putting up a very comparable target share in terms of ability to earn targets and a very comparable yards per game. He's also fine in the end zone like we saw this past week. All of these things are important because Garrett Wilson is probably missing a couple of more weeks, if not the rest of the season, since the Jets aren't playing for anything. It's also important to call out that there has been a fundamental change for this team because Justin Fields has not been the starter the past couple of weeks. Justin Fields, by the way, when he was out there, he was barely completing 60% of his passes.

2:20.4

He was only averaging about 22 attempts per game. Now what we get out there is Tyrod Taylor, one of the best backups in the NFL over the past half decade or so, even a decade, honestly, at this point. And Tyrod Taylor, he's just basically been throwing a lot more. They trust him more. He's sustaining drives, which when you're sustaining drives, you're running more plays on offense, so you're getting more pass attempts. He's throwing about 31 times per game right now, almost 10 more than Justin Fields was. That's going to help all of the guys in this offense, including the wide receivers like John Metchie, who we talked about last week, and now Adonai Mitchell. I mean, just saying these names for an offense is crazy in 2025 tyrod taylor john mecci adenai mitchell all on the same team it's kind of bonkers but that's where we're at and mitchell has looked good again he's only a second year player it's not like he's this older veteran the way that i look at it right now in most competitive 12 team leagues at this point in the season especially if you're like multiple flex spots, the waiver wire is

3:07.5

extremely bare. I mean, I have a league where there's nothing out there right now at all, but Adadai Mitchell is a name that is on the waiver wire in a couple of those, and he is honestly like the best prize out there. He's worth putting a good amount of your fab, if not the rest of it, on assuming you don't have a lot left. Again, because I do think he's going to continue to be this X wide receivers have probably earned anywhere from six to eight to nine plus targets a week.

3:27.2

And I don't have a lot left again because i do think he's going to continue to be this ex-wide receivers to probably earn anywhere from six to eight to nine plus targets a week and i don't think we're getting uh garret wilson back anytime soon and look at this look at the matchups upcoming good matchup at home against the dolphins good matchup on the run against the jaguars good matchup on the road against the saints those are his next three matchups two of which are in the fantasy postseason where we still might not see Garrett Wilson. Adonai Mitchell is a priority ad for this week.

3:44.2

Now, I would say Devon Valle from the Saints is also worth considering for an ad, and we'll get into all the context, but I wouldn't call him a priority ad. However, he quietly, this offseason, he was traded to the New Orleans Saints, by the way, right. This is a guy that they gave two picks for, right? They've acquired, the Saints acquired

3:59.0

Devon Valley from the Denver Broncos in exchange for future considerations. Those future considerations ended up being two NFL draft picks. Now, they weren't second or third round picks. They were like, you know, fourth, fifth round picks later on in the draft. But still, this is a former seventh round rookie from just the 2024 draft last year, and the Broncos were able to get two picks for him. So yeah, the Saints obviously like what they saw on Devon Valley. In terms of that rookie year with the Broncos, he had 55 targets, missed some time with injury. But 41 catches for 475 yards in the games that he did play. You saw some flash performances scored three times. In terms of fantasy last year, if we go to the player profiler game logs right here, you'll see that there were some nice performances. To start the season off as a seventh round rookie, he had 12 fantasy points in back-to-back games. He had 13, 11, 14 point performances, 10, 15 towards the end of the year. So you're talking as a seventh round pick. You had like six or seven usable flex weeks or wide receiver two or three weeks out of him in terms of fantasy. And now, in theory,

4:48.7

he's going to a better situation with the Saints this year just because they run a lot more plays on offense. Now, for the most part, this season, he was buried on the depth chart, right? There was Chris Alave. There was Rashid Shaheed. There was Brandon Cooks at one point. But now all that's left is Chris Oliva in terms of target competition.

5:02.4

Rashid Shahid we know is traded at the deadline to the Seattle Seahawks.

5:05.4

Brandon Cooks was recently last week released by the Saints.

5:07.8

Then he was picked. is chriselovey in terms of target competition rachid shahid we know is traded at the deadline to the

5:04.4

seahawks brandon cooks was recently last week released by the saints then he was picked up by the buffalo bills so at this point in terms of pass catchers you're looking at chrisel ova obvious number one on this team but after that like mason tippedon we saw last year but he has he has nothing tray palmer journeymen around the league at this point like there's nothing else at all like we're talking bub memes

5:21.5

in jill jillin poke right he's also those guys are on i are actually nothing. Trey Palmer, journeyman around the league at this point. Like, there's nothing else at all. Like, we're talking Bub memes in Jalilin Polk, right?

5:23.4

He's also, those guys are on IR actually. So, like, looking at this, Devon Velae is it. And if we remember earlier in the season, if you had Rashid Jehaden Fantasy, you probably dropped him now these past couple weeks on Seattle. But when he was on the Seahawks, every single week, the dude was getting like, I don't know, five to ten targets was putting up anywhere between 10 and 20 fantasy points.

5:40.7

He was a good option. in Seattle. But when he was on the Seahawks, every single week, the dude was getting like, I don't know, five to ten targets was putting up anywhere between 10 and 20 fantasy points.
