| 0:00.0 | Your fantasy football league isn't won in August when you draft. No, no, no, not at all because so many things happen during the season. In fact, trading is the most underrated way to improve your team and ultimately win your league. And today we're going to talk about seven players you need to be trading for before your friends do. And let's start with my favorite by-low candidate right now. If you can get him for even relatively cheaper than you could have two to three weeks ago, I want to do so with Roma Dunezay because here's the deal. Roma Dunezay, everybody's looking at the last one to two weeks of his box scores. And for the most part, people are starting to panic a little. Now, there is some reason to that, and we'll get into all the nuances in context. However, because let's take it back to week six, When Roma Dunezay has two catches for 32 yards up until this point coming out of the by week, the first month of the season, he was great, only get you two catches for 32 yards, five points in a PPR format, but let's remember that he had a touchdown called back in this game. He would have had three catches, 50 yards, and a touchdown, and it would have been, oh, the same old Roma Dunesay is dominated. A touchdown was called back on a weak call as well. Like, I don't think it was deserved by any means, a push off that they never call. Okay, then this past week, two catches 31 yards against the Saints when he was supposed to bounce back. So I'll give you that one. Okay, we're seven weeks into the season and justifiably he's had one poor game. Even in that game, about a 30 to 40 yard catch and run potentially was missed between him |
| 1:11.3 | and Caleb Williams. So at the end of the day, he's had really one dud performance when you factor in the week six context of a touchdown called back that shouldn't have been called back. And let's not forget what he was doing the first month of the season, averaging 17 and a half fantasy points per game where he looked like arguably probably a second round fantasy pick if we were to redraft after week four. Now these last two weeks, he was on by in week five, just four |
| 1:31.5 | families. where he looked like arguably probably a second round fantasy pick if we were to redraft after week |
| 1:28.2 | four now these last two weeks he was on by in week five just four fantasy points per game even though |
| 1:32.9 | his expected fantasy points have been much higher than that the role is still strong he's still |
| 1:37.2 | running all the routes he's still leading this team when it comes to either straight up target |
| 1:40.9 | chair or first read target share from caleb williams it just so happened that past week, they got a lead and they ended up running the ball a ton with Kyle Menungi and DeAndre Swift, so Caleb Williams didn't throw a lot. I mean, you had the lowest passing volume day of the entire season for Caleb Williams in a game where they were able to play in lead by two scores, just 26 pass attempts compared to the team running the ball 40 times. So yeah, if Roma Dunez is going to have a dud, and by the way, no receiver in this game or tight end or running back, top 43 receiving yards, yeah, I think it's okay if the entire passing attack has a dud because they're leading by multiple scores. They win by multiple scores over the Saints in this one. They get up 20 to 7 at halftime and then they just run the ball the entire second half. But when you look at it right now, this is the encouraging stuff right here. This is sorted by points per game. You have the Colts obviously right now the best offense in the league. The Cowboys putting up points. A lot of teams like Detroit, Buffalo, Kansas City, you expect to be there. Then there's the Bears who are a borderline top 10 team in points per game. The Bears are averaging over 25 real life points per game, and when that starts to happen, |
| 2:37.5 | that means you have a quality offense. That means players on your team, including your number one wide receiver, Omar Dunezai, is going to have big weeks, just like he did the first month of the season. But because of recency bias, you could actually get him way cheaper right now. I'm about to show you some of the deals that have been happening over just the past 24 hours alone and you're going to be like, that's crazy. |
| 3:06.8 | Yes, people are panicking, especially with the buy weeks. There's six teams, the mega buy this week. People are going to be panicking and needing to fill their roster spot. They might trade Roma Dunzee and try and get two players back. And if you look at the upcoming schedule for the Bears, especially since this offense is ascending, |
| 3:08.8 | they're going to get the Ravens who are coming off by and should be getting healthier, |
| 3:09.8 | so the defense shouldn't be as bad, |
| 3:11.3 | but it's still... if you look at the upcoming schedule for the Bears, especially since this offense is ascending, they're going to get the Ravens who are coming off by and should be getting healthier, |
| 3:09.8 | so the defense shouldn't be as bad, but it's still not a quality defense. Then the Bengals, then the Giants, three, three matchups in a row are absolutely amazing right now. Now's the time you want to buy Roma Dunezay. Look at some of these trades. Marvin Harrison who's going on by one for one, J.K. Dobbins, |
| 3:24.3 | Zay Flowers, who I don't think is a terrible buy candidate, |
| 3:26.4 | but Roma Dunezay, to me, is still a top 25. look at some of these trades. Marvin Harrison, who's going on buy one for one, J.K. Dobbins, |
| 3:43.7 | who I don't think is a terrible buy candidate, but Roma Dunezee to me is still a top 25 overall player, not just wide receiver, overall player this season. If we redrafted today, he'd probably be getting picked at the end of the second, beginning of the third round. Go and buy him right now. This is the cheapest he's been all year and probably will be the rest of the season. Now, Dunezay is my favorite buy low wide receiver, but probably my favorite by low running back is Trey Benson because you can get him dirt cheap, especially if the person in your league right now who has Trey Benson is, I don't know, has a losing record. Maybe they only have one or two wins and Trey Benson's in their I.R spot doing nothing for them. You could probably go and just give them a depth-wide receiver. We'll give you some examples in a second. But the last time we saw Trey Benson healthy, people were disappointed in a Thursday night football game against Seattle, a difficult matchup at that point of the year where he only had eight carries for 35 yards. I mean, okay, four and a half yards per carry isn't the worst thing. He also caught five balls in that game. I get it was only for 19 yards, but it was nice to see him get activated as a pass catcher in that game. |
| 4:17.6 | He dominated that game. I get it was only for 19 yards, |
| 4:27.2 | but it was nice to see him get activated as a pass catcher in that game. He dominated the usage in that game as well. People were saying, oh, why is the Mari DiMercado catching passes? Well, the Cardinals were down by two scores to the Seahawks and he was the past catching back. Like, Let's not get too crazy here. |
| 4:34.0 | At the end of the day, it was still good usage in that game, and the only sample that we have right now of Trey Benson as a workhorse without James Connor, check this out. |
| 5:39.5 | He played 55% of the snaps, ran 42% of the routes, and saw 77% of the backfield opportunities. That is elite RB1 usage, and on his limited sample this year, look at this. He's averaging 5.3 yards per touch, top 12 in the NFL. His broken tackle rate is top 5 in the NFL. He's creating the third most yards per touch in the entire NFL. Now, of course, this is a small sample. He only has so far this season, 29 carries and 16 targets, operating as mostly a backup and a split backfield with James Connor for the majority of the season before getting hurt on Thursday night football. but at the end of the day, Trey Benson has been by far, including James Connor when he was healthy, by the way, the most efficient running back in this Cardinals backfield per touch. I mean, he's literally third in the NFL in yards created per touch. The current backfield is disgusting. Because these guys are doing nothing. Amari Di Mercado, Michael Carter doing nothing. In the first scheme without Trey Benson, Michael Carter averaged less than three yards per carry. Sure, Amari Di Mercado broke off that big 70-yard run when he fumbled at the goal line and now he's healthy or not healthy either. Okay, their second game, Bam Knight comes out of nowhere and starts to take over the backfield in the red zone usage, still only averaging three yards per carry. Michael Carter becomes the RB2 averaging three yards per carry. This past week against the Packers was the best game for this backfield, and it was still just Bam Knight, 14 carries, 57 yards, Michael Carter averaging 1.6 yards per carry. The backfield has been absolutely atrocious. Zonovan Bam Knight wasn't on the roster week one. Michael Carter wasn't on the active roster week one. There's a reason |
| 5:54.9 | for that. They were not expected to be involved in this offense. Trey Benson, once he's back, is going to go back to being the clear, clear workhorse running back. And there's a chance he comes back in just like two weeks. I know they said four to six weeks with the injury. Like, there's a chance he's back playing football in two weeks. And look at some of the trades happening right now. Travion Henderson, Rashad White, who has probably one more week as a starter before the Bucks buy and then after that you're probably going to be getting back. Bucky Irving. Jalen Kolker? I mean, these are crazy trades. Brandon Ayuk, who knows if he plays football this year, Hunter Henry, Tray Benson is the cheapest, the cheapest running back you can get in fantasy. If you think you're going to make your fantasy playoffs, heck, if you are a great team with one, zero or two losses, that was a weird order. Let's say zero one or two losses. Go get Trey Benson during the fantasy postseason. James Conner is not coming back. Trey Benton is going to be an RB1. And somebody in the, in the intermediate time, like probably not the fantasy playoffs, but for these next four to six weeks, that could be an RB1 is going to be Kamani Vidal because we just saw him do it. Now, maybe he didn't do it this past week against the Colts, where he had just nine carries for 21 for 20 yards, 2.2 yards per carry. He did catch four balls, but it was pretty gross, but the Colts offense is the number one offense in the league. The Colts got up by three scores pretty quickly in this game against the Chargers, and that led to Justin Herbert coming out here, if we should pull it up, and throwing back 55 times. He threw 55 times in this game, 30 plus times in the second half alone. You could see right here, they only ran 16 times. Six of those were their quarterback. So the backfield, Kamani Vidal 9 carries, |
| 7:18.1 | Hassan Haskins, just one carry. In this game, by the way, Hassan Haskins, who hasn't been good at all, also injured his hamstring and now the Chargers play in a short week. By the time that you're watching this, they play on Thursday night football. There's no competition right now for Kamani Vidal, assuming Haskins can't go with the hamstring injury, and he probably won't. But just a week prior to that, and his first game |
