Over the weekend, President Biden attended something called the National Prayer Breakfast,

which is hosted by Congress.

I don't know why there is such a thing in a country that has allegedly a separation between

church and state, but the prayer breakfast was started during the Eisenhower administration.

It was during that administration that the words under God were also added to the Pledge

of Allegiance, so I'm not entirely sure what was going on with Eisenhower.

Anyway, the point of this is not the prayer breakfast itself.

It's remarks that President Biden made during them.

He said to Mitch McConnell, Mitch, I don't want to hurt your reputation, but we are really

our friends.

And that is not an epiphany we're having here at the moment.

We've always, you've always done exactly what you've said.

You're a man of your word, of your word, and you're a man of honor.

Thank you for being my friend.

Is Mitch McConnell a man of his word?

I think he is.

He promised that he would do everything in his power to make sure that President Obama

was a one-term president.

He failed, but he did try his hardest to make that happen.

He promised that he would refuse to allow Barack Obama to fulfill his constitutional duty

to appoint a Supreme Court justice.
