10. Extreme ways boomers got their kids to listen and obey. My father was a good man, though apparently there was a limit to his patience.

There was one time we were heading out to see relatives, and my younger brother and I were fighting in the backseat of his massive 77 Oldsmobile.

As God is my witness, the speed at which he whipped the car off the road and flung open the door

while simultaneously removing his belt, was nothing short of astounding. Don't tell me that scared straight doesn't

work.

Oh yeah, it does. Yeah. I'm trying to think.

There was one time that my mom reached back and whipped the crap out of, I believe it was me,

because my sister was mouthing off.

You believe it was you.

I believe, I don't fully remember, but I wasn't involved.

So she just whack, she just kind of reached back and smacked somebody.

And I said, it wasn't me.

That's about it.

But yeah.
