The first jackalanterns were actually carved from turnips.

The word witch comes from the old English word Wicca, which means wise woman.

Trick-or-Treating in Scotland and Ireland used to be called Geising.

Kids there would only get a treat after they performed a trick like a song or a dance.

Tonight's also been known as All Hallows Eve, Witches Night, Lambs Wool, Snapapple Night,

Sam Ham and Summer's End. And Harry Hudini, the famous magician, died on Halloween night from appendicitis.

While most of the nation wears orange and black, the city of Boston will be awash in red for today's

Red Sox parade.

Game 5 winning pitcher David Price Meantime is giving a surprising shoutout.

He says Fort Knight helped him get in his own.

Price wasn't supposed to get the start on Sunday, but when he did, he immediately jumped

on the battle bus with fellow pitcher Nathan Avaldi to clear his head.

Valdi dropped into the war zone of tilted towers while Price headed for

Wailing Woods.

We're not necessarily sure the video game was the key to his on-field success, but we can't really argue with it either.

In other sports news, a Warriors player just set a new NBA record, and this time it wasn't Steph. Clay Thompson hit 14

three-pointers Monday night beating Curry's old mark of 13 in a single game.
