time in 13 years, an emperor penguin baby has hatched at SeaWorld. The species is threatened

due to melting Antarctic ice, and since that zoo is currently the only place in the Western

Hemisphere with a colony of them adding even one penguin to its population is a big deal.

But this arrival didn't come easy. Once the chick started to break through the shell,

the monitoring team realized her beak was malformed and she'd need help chipping her

way out. After three days of meticulous human intervention, she made her grand debut.

SeaWorld says she's doing well, loving the milkshakes and gaining weight. Now it's time

to name her and you can help. The three names under consideration are Pearl, Pandora, and

Astrid. An online poll is open until midnight tomorrow night, Pacific time. We've put a link

from that state's ballot. The trial would determine whether the 14th Amendment's insurrectionist
