2023. And we begin with the World Series picture 50% clearer. Last night

the American League crowned the Texas Rangers its

2023 champ in a blowout game 7 against the defending champion Houston

Astros. The Rangers now move on to the fall classic and will face either the

Philadelphia Phillies or the Arizona Diamondbacks depending on which team takes

tonight's winner-take-all series tiebreaker in the National League.

And there's not much time to get ready.

Game 1 of the World Series is this Friday evening.

Stuck like glue could take on a new meaning now that scientists have created an adhesive that sticks and unsticks as needed.

The secret is a natural compound called kaffiac acid that can be found in coffee and apples.

It reacts differently under various ultraviolet lights.

The team from Japan's National Institute for Material Science

covered different materials with it then expose them to

UV light to create a strong bond. Exposing them to a different UV light did just the opposite

and unstuck whatever was glued together.

Several tests showed the adhesive could hold up to 88 pounds and even worked underwater.

And the scientists are hopeful this new glue will help reduce waste because products could be easily taken apart and parts could be reused instead of getting tossed in the garbage.
