And we begin with a mind-boggling announcement from the world of artificial intelligence.

Researchers at Google's AI division claim they've invented a device

that in a little more than three minutes can solve a problem which previously

would have taken the fastest supercomputer 10,000 years.

The journal Nature calls the achievement a game changer in computing.

Unlike classic computers, this new one uses quantum bits known as cubits to process information at lightning speed.

The downside, the cubits are fragile and a bit moody and require colder than outer space temperatures to control

them.

IBM, which is also in the speed race, says not so fast.

It challenged the claim, questioned Google's methods, and said it believes Google's math is off by a whopping 150 million percent.

A store famous for closing its doors on one of the busiest shopping days of the year is doubling down this holiday season.
