Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Wednesday, October 23rd,

2019 and we begin with another example of how it just doesn't pay to cheat. A

high school football player from St. Louis

who was supposed to serve a one-game suspension didn't. Instead of riding the

bench, the junior running back suited up in a freshman's jersey, complete with a different name and number, and went on to

rush for 109 yards and score a 56-yard touchdown.

But the switcheroo didn't work.

His unique arm tattoos gave him away and now administrators

from Cardinal Ritter College Prep have cancelled the rest of the football season and

fired the entire coaching staff.

The head coach says he didn't know and that kids switched jerseys all the time.

Note to coach, they don't.

For the second time this month and the third time this year,

former President Jimmy Carter has taken a fall in his Plains Georgia home.

He's now hospitalized with a fractured pelvis.

Even so, nurses say he's in good spirits and looking forward to getting out and getting started on physical therapy.

As you may remember, Mr. Carter fell two weeks ago and despite receiving 14 stitches, travel the next day to Nashville, Tennessee

to rally volunteers and help build homes for Habitat for Humanity.

At 95, Carter is the oldest living former president in U.S. history.

He and his wife Rosalind also recently became the longest married first couple,

surpassing George and Barbara Bush with more than 73 years of marriage.
