0:38.7	under-employment, medical problems, financial hardships, it's just crazy and then at the same

0:49.9	One area where people were very, very unhappy and suffering mightily is the small business
0:59.6	sector of the economy and certainly there are small businesses that have been devastated
1:06.3	by coronavirus and had a brutally hard time, many businesses that have shut down for

1:16.2	The same time other small businesses are doing quite well and so this creates these
1:24.2	cross-currents that are so hard to understand and so confusing.
1:29.8	Well the NFIB which is the Trade Association for Small Businesses, National Federation
1:34.8	Independent, businesses puts out a survey on business attitudes every month and this
1:44.9	is what's crazy.
1:49.4	What they call their Optimism Index is at one of the highest numbers ever at 104.
1:57.8	Back in the late spring it was at 75.
2:02.6	At the same time the uncertainty numbers are way up which speaks to how confusing the
2:10.5	current economic situation is.
2:14.6	This is a significant number of businesses that have survived wildly enough are thriving
