One of them is Kroger, and they have a bunch of stores.

And there is a deal that's cooking where Kroger is buying Albertsons for $24.5 billion.

And now we're talking about nearly 5,000 stores across the country.

And there's some concern about that, to say the least. For one thing, how about antitrust?

So California Attorney General Rob Bonta said his office was really concerned about this because well all kinds of reasons and

I'll tell you that in a minute first of all he said the decision has yet to be made he's talking to

the FTC's had discussions what do we do about this and that decision has been made and here is

his argument we're concerned about higher prices for consumers because you're going to have a much bigger share of the market.

Lower payments to California farmers. Why? Because Albertsons and Kroger are rivals and they're the ones that negotiate with farmers.

And now it's going to be one company.

And the bottom line, hungry families are going to go hungry, which is kind of bizarre.

And they want regulatory approval for this.

And also lack of competition.

And there's something called food deserts. And this is poor areas of parts of the city that don't have supermarkets close.

And you have people that live in that immediate area.

And some people don't have cars.

And it's just harder.

And for fresh, wonderful food, they have to go further than just down the street.
