October 13th, 2025, Columbus Day or Indigenous People's Day in the U.S. What you call it and how you celebrate

depends on where you live. And we begin with emotions running high and freedom reportedly at hand

for the remaining Israeli hostages. Hamas was expected to begin the transfer either last night

or early this morning, with Israel releasing hundreds of Palestinian prisoners

in return.

It's hoped the exchange will mark the beginning of the end of that devastating two-year war.

On hand, President Trump, who arrived overnight and is due to attend a ceremonial signing of

the peace agreement between the two sides, deliver an address to the Israeli parliament,

and travel to Egypt to meet with 20 other world leaders to map out the future of Gaza.

The wind is up and the rain is coming down and forecasters are urging residents along the

mid-Atlantic states not to take the ongoing

nor'easter lightly. Downpours and 60-mile-an-hour gusts could last through today, and beach erosion

is almost a given. Trouble is expected all along the Atlantic coast, but New Jersey is expected

to take the brunt of it with potential power outages, road closures,

and airport delays.
