And we begin with a surprisingly high stakes case before the Supreme Court that involves bacon.

Earlier this week, the nine justices heard arguments from lawyers on both sides of the case,

officially known as the National Pork Producers Council versus Ross.

The case involves a California measure passed by voters a few years ago

that requires humane treatment of farm animals, including pigs,

so any farmer selling pork products, like bacon in the state, must follow these rules.

However, the pork industry accuses California voters of trying to impose their own food policies

upon the nation as a whole, which it argues would violate the Constitution.

No word on when the Supreme Court will make their decision on this case.

Funny business and fishing, then ballot stuffing in the Fat Bear Contest,

which, by the way, was ultimately and legitimately won by the 1,400-pound fan favorite, 747,

also known as Bear Force One, and now there's an investigation into whether a teenage grandmaster cheated in chess.

Chess.com issued a report last week saying 19-year-old Hans Neiman likely cheated

in more than a hundred online chess games in a five-year period,

because his performances were basically too good.

The American teen, who had admitted he didn't always play fairly in games on Chess.com

when he was younger, has denied cheating while playing streaming games or in-person tournaments.

Still, Chess.com has taken away Hans' ability to participate in their events,

though the site states it believes dishonest play is very rare,

estimating fewer than 0.14% of players on Chess.com ever cheat.
