And there has been a huge issue about her paying or not paying taxes in Spain.

And not only is it a case involving a world entertainer, world-class entertainer,

but the money involved is enormous. So a Spanish judge just approved a trial for Shakira.

She's Colombian, but lives in Spain, sort of. Enough time to pay the taxes? Yes,

So the Spanish prosecutors are accusing her, and they accused her of 2018, and now it's going to trial of failing to

pay basically $14 million in taxes on income earned between 2012 and 2014. Now keep in mind,

By the way, the prosecutors not only want the taxes, they want an eight-year prison sentence and a fine on top of all that.

paid all the taxes owed and an additional $2.8 million in interest. Trial date has yet to be set.
